E is for Eskwelabs - This August, we hope you find your voice and use it to stand up for what you believe in. 💯
We’re data-driven lifelong learners, and we’re not throwin’ away our shot!
We created this newsletter to keep our alums, partners, and anyone interested in learning skills for the future of work updated and connected to our ever-growing community. If you want to read our previous issues, you can check them out here.
Our theme for August 2023- With every step you take, we hope you find your voice and use it to stand up for what you believe in.
A popular Nescafe commercial released in 2010 asks, “Para kanino ka bumabangon?” ☕ This alludes to the idea of “waking up” for a reason or finding purpose in life. I think we, as lifelong learners, can resonate with this so much because we’re so passionate about maximizing our skills and knowledge for something impactful. ⭐ We are, by nature, advocates for creating positive change and making a difference in the world.
As we learn data storytelling, we realize our potential for making informed decisions about stuff we care about. 📈 Our machine-learning skills can help us uncover patterns and trends in data that concern our advocacies. Our growing knowledge of AI can empower us to amplify our voices and look for creative ways to share our ideas. 🤖 With every line of code we write, every visualization we create, and every insight we uncover, we have the opportunity to communicate our beliefs and advocate for change.
So, dear Eskweloves, this August we’re making sure that our data-driven skills are used for good and that we’re maximizing our talents and resources to advocate for things that are bigger than ourselves. 🌳
Some questions we’ll answer throughout the month via our social media posts, blog posts, and in this E is for Eskwelabs newsletter:
What does purposeful work look like?
Where do we find the courage to stand up for what we believe in?
How do we make sure that we are making lasting change?
🎶 Song of the month 🎶
I'm past patiently waitin' I'm passionately mashin' every expectation
Every action's an act of creation
I'm laughin' in the face of casualties and sorrow
For the first time, I'm thinkin' past tomorrow
And I am not throwin' away my shot
We hope this “theme reveal” email excites you for the rest of the month. See you later for Issue 81 and Issue 82!
