E is for Eskwelabs - This September, let’s talk about human-centred solutions for complex problems 🫀
As lifelong learners, we are multi-disciplinary leaders equipped to tackle real-world issues with data. 🌐
We created this newsletter to keep our alums, partners, and anyone interested in learning skills for the future of work updated and connected to our ever-growing community. If you want to read our previous issues, you can check them out here.
Our theme for September 2023 is “Human-centred solutions for complex problems.”As the proverb goes, “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.” 🎣 Eskwelabs hopes to create a community that not only upskills in data analytics, data science, and AI, but also acts as an example for putting people back at the center of tech, business, and education.
We envision our community to be made of multi-disciplinary leaders who are empowered with the knowledge and tools to not only solve complex technical challenges but also tackle society's toughest problems with data. 💪 We hope our community will continue to inspire a deep sense of purpose and make agents of change who apply their skills to real-world problems and create human-centered solutions. 🙏
Some questions we’ll answer throughout the month via our social media posts, blog posts, and in this E is for Eskwelabs newsletter:
What are our responsibilities as data practitioners?
What does compassion look like in tech and education?
How does Eskwelabs empower its learners to lead in their respective communities?
🎶 Song of the month 🎶
I see this life, like a swinging vine
Swing my heart across the line
And in my face is flashing signs
Seek it out and ye shall find
Old, but I'm not that old
Young, but I'm not that bold
And I don't think the world is sold
On just doing what we're told
We hope this “theme reveal” email excites you for the rest of the month. See you later for Issue 83 and Issue 84!
