Hi, Francine here! 👋 In today's issue, we're taking on a very different format for our newsletter. That’s because we will be having our 2nd year anniversary event with our alumni at the end of this week! If you're one of our alumni reading this right now, we sent your invite via email. But we'll keep this intro quick, because what we want to say to all our learners is found in our team letter below. Finally, we also have a short and sweet thank you note to kumu for co-designing a data sprint with us for our Data Analytics Bootcamp. ❤️

💌 A thank you note to kumu for co-designing with us

We're excited to partner with kumu for the final data sprint of our Cohort 2 Analysts in the Data Analytics Bootcamp! 📊 In this 8-week data analytics program, our Analysts have a total of 4 data sprints to go through. They end each sprint with a data project they can add to their portfolio! ✨

In this blog post we cover two questions: “What's a data sprint?” and “Why are we partnering with kumu?” 😍

💌 An ode to education and a loveletter to the learners whom we call our “Eskweloves”

Someone wise once said, "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn." The Eskwelabs team is made up of dreamers and doers who love to learn.😁 We may be a small team for now but we're really hands-on and literally involved in each of the learning experiences we've been putting out into the world. Whether it's one of our bootcamps, learning subscriptions, free courses, or corporate upskilling initiatives, we all have a piece of our hearts in each. ❤️

We come from various backgrounds, and with our own stories as to why we have a personal connection to education. 📚 There is so much joy in learning. There's magic in seeing our own personal growth because of the knowledge, skills, and experience we pick up along our professional journeys. And it's an indescribable feeling when we see the people we love and care about the most—our friends and families—thrive because of how education has made a difference in their lives. ✨

Each of us have seen the power of education firsthand. 🧠

We never forget the smiles of our learners, the twinkle in their eyes when they learn something new, or rediscover parts of themselves they thought they've lost. 😊 We memorize our learners by name, their faces come to mind faster than their student ID numbers do. We experience awe when we witness our learners doing their first presentations, and we shed tears of joy at their very last ones in our programs. 😭 We cherish the moments outside classes, when we get to know their heart even more than what's inside their head. We celebrate every graduation. 🎓 We do a happy dance after every orientation. 💃 And when a Cohort list is finalized, we rejoice—the feeling never ever gets old. 🎉

To all our learners, from the ones we've upskilled in our bootcamps and free courses to those we've had the pleasure of training in our corporate upskilling initiatives, thank you for trusting us with your learning journey. 🤗
