โก The Analytics Association of the Philippines welcomes Eskwelabs as a new member
We're so excited to announce that since last month, Eskwelabs has become a member of the countryโs premier data analytics association, the Analytics Association of the Philippines (AAP). Composed of members from both the government and the private sector, the AAP seeks to promote the growth and development of data analytics in the country.
The use of data analytics in Philippine organizations is still in its infancy. However, with the help of the various councils of AAP, this field will soon become a hot item in the job market. Businesses and other entities need analysts to help them make more effective, profitable, and data-driven decisions. The association also offers avenues for the academe, government, and enterprises to come together to align their needs and projects for the upholding of data analytics excellence in the country.ย
Eskwelabs can get a lot of benefits as an AAP memberโat the end of the day, itโs all for our learners! Networking with various stakeholders of the Philippine data analytics ecosystem ensures that our upskilling school is not left behind in terms of the quality and job relevance of our data science and data analytics programs.
We have been so delighted to join the AAP, that our very own CEO Angela Chen did not think twice when she was invited to speak at the final day of the associationโs 2021 Analytics Summit PH last July 30. In case you havenโt seen or met her yet, she is the lady at the bottom-right section of the photo below. If you want to get to know her more, you may click this link. ๐

Fortunately, prescriptive analytics is part of our Data Analytics Bootcamp curriculum!

โก The United Nations leads webinar on connecting data science with vaccine acceptance
The extension of the first day of classes for Cohort 8 of our Data Science Fellowship gives ample time for reflection. After all, there is a common misconception that data science is only for techies or computer wizards. However, we at Eskwelabs assure you that our curriculum is designed to be understandable even to those who simply care about how they can use data for the common good. Many recent developments today undeniably show that data science greatly affects the way we find solutions for even the biggest of social problems.ย
In fact, the Philippine office of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will actually explain how data science affects finding ways to combat the current COVID-19 crisis. On August 19, from 1 PM to 3 PM, the UNDP will host a Zoom webinar on the use of data to encourage vaccine acceptance in the Philippines. Among the panelists and guest speakers in this online event include experts from the Department of Health, the World Bank and the Analytics Association of the Philippines.
If you are a community health volunteer or simply a concerned citizen who seeks to promote public health through widespread COVID vaccinations, then this webinar is an event you shouldnโt miss.
