β‘ The Eskwelabs Team shares its victories for 2021
As we close in on the holidays, the Eskwelabs team is gearing up to take time off to celebrate the year with our family and friends. But before that, itβs time for us to celebrate the wins we accomplished together.
In 2021, Eskwelabs continued to bring quality data skills education that was memorable for our learners and transformative for their careers. Read some of their stories and well wishes to our team here:
In 2021, we continued to work remotely and grew our team by 3x. Our work would not be possible without the team of almost 50 instructors and mentors who are at the heart of how Eskwelabs learners experience upskilling.Β
Eskwelabs also kicked-off two major partnerships that will carry forward into the new year:Β
We launched a partnership with the Australian government and FHMoms to upskill 10,000 women freelancers in data literacy.
With Accenture and the Asian Institute of Management-Dado Banatao Incubator, Eskwelabs introduced the Innovate with Data program, a collaborative learning journey to transform start-ups into data-driven companies.
The acceleration of the digital economy post-pandemic has created demand for every employee to develop tactical skills for data-driven decision-making. As a result, staff from non-technical teams like operations, HR, and marketing started to learn data analytics and we saw a 150% increase in cohort sizes as a result:Β
Our data analytics learners include those like Joshua Crescini, who is using his SQL skills towards building an e-commerce platform (you can watch his video below to get some casual career insights and hear his Eskwelabs story). Learners also include call center agents at TaskUs, who were upskilled to become Data Analysts through a company-sponsored data academy.Β
Eskwelabs continued to grant scholarships to about 10% of the learners in our public program. Scholars like Mark Paul Alquiza or βPoks,β a high school teacher who wants to become more effective and inspiring, are transforming organizations outside of industry to also become more data-driven. Hear his story by clicking on the link below:
Β
We partnered with fast-growing startups like Kumu, Nextpay, and Mayani to develop a project-based curriculum which represents the latest industry use cases of data skills.Β
A few things we are excited about for 2022 include some of these. We will be...Β
Pioneering the countryβs first tech-driven apprenticeships as an impactful complement to our bootcamps. Click here to learn more.
Through an Asian Development Bank (ADB)-funded pilot, working with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) to improve the national technical-vocational agency so it can incorporate data literacy.
Launching career accelerators with universities to equip graduating students with data skills to complement their degree programs.
And more...
Most importantly, we look forward to growing our impact and achieving our mission of democratizing opportunities in the future of work. As we see more learners at Eskwelabs who are not the typical βtech worker,β weβre excited for them to land new career opportunities that are opening up in the digital economy for anyone with the willingness to learn.
β‘ New Data Analytics Bootcamp tuition options are unveiled
We also consider making our potential learnersβ lives easier as a crucial achievement for the year. One of the ways we do this is through our tuition discounts, which make payments for our industry-relevant and cutting-edge bootcamps more manageable. ππ₯οΈ
