E is for Eskwelabs - Our theme for November 2022 is Guidance 🔦
Before a hectic December is a calm and peaceful November. Hello, Eskweloves! Here is our theme for this month.
November’s theme is “Guidance.” This month we’re taking it easy to prepare for the whirlwind that is December. As tempting as it is to outperform ourselves in year-end evaluations and holiday preparations, we slow down and look for guidance where it is needed. We reach out to our family and friends for spiritual and emotional support. We approach our mentors and colleagues for direction as we wrap up our tasks for the year. We turn to data to help us make decisions in preparation for the new year. We seek literature, music, and art for the times we get stumped and need inspiration. If we look close enough, guidance can be found everywhere.
The tremendous growth we had from facing crossroads taught us that no man is an island— it does, indeed, take a village to grow and to improve ourselves. So, dear Eskweloves, may this month’s newsletter bring you comfort and assurance that our community is here to guide you as we conclude the year!
Some questions we’ll answer through the month via our social media posts, blog posts, and in this E for Eskwelabs newsletter:
What would life be like without maths and sciences? 🤔
How can our knowledge of data contribute to society? 🤝🏽
Is AI art distinguishable from art made by people? Does it evoke the same emotions? 🖼️
What inspires ideas? How do we transform them into actionable plans? 📅
What does guidance look like within the Eskwelabs bootcamps? 🤩
How does our daily routine affect collaboration? 🛰️
🎶 Song of the month 🎶
With A Little Help From My Friends by The Beatles
What would you think if I sang out of tune?
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song
And I'll try not to sing out of key
Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends
Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends
We hope this “theme reveal” email excites you for the rest of the month. See you later this month for Issue 63 and Issue 64!
