π Resources for your Post-Covid Work/Life
Zoom fatigue who? Here are 26 activities to keep your "Work from Home" team engaged, energized, and connected
From this list we've made, our team has tried about 6 out of 26.
Here are some examples of what you can expect from the list:
Sometimes we need online socials that are silly and light...
B - Who is that Baby? game
C - Cooking challenge
Other times we want it to be more personal and intimate...
F - Family Meet & Greet
H - Heart 2 Hearts
The detours you have to doge, the pitstops you have to make, and the length of the road you'll be taking from your current self to your future self is entirely up to you. It sounds intimidating at the start. But clarity always begins with one step. Sometimes...one click! π₯οΈ

Stories Behind Eskwelabs
Eskwelabs Co-Founder Angela chats with Carla Mumar (who has also helped coach the Data Science Fellows!) on her podcast A Dose of Intensity about what it's like to build Eskwelabs.
Angela: "What do we wish for our graduates? It's honestly to be able to thrive in this world that you describedβa world that is very scary, they don't know what's going to happen, and that's happening now. That's COVID. That type of feeling you have of uncertainty, imagine you have that for the rest of your life. Not knowing when the quarantine will be over, [asking] when am I going to be able to go to the store again, when can I see my friends again? That level of uncertaintyβand if you didn't know how to deal with itβit'd be pretty terrible. Not taking any action is bad. Not doing anything, not changing is bad. The challenge is: how to change and what to change? Also, how to not be so hard on ourselves? ... It's all part of the learning process."

In this newsletter we talked about the story of Eskwelabs, now let's hear from one of the first people to join the Eskwelabs Manila team. Amidst the global pandemic, he continues to push forward in the pursuit of lifelong learning. Let's celebrate Gerard's 1-year anniversary with the team and see what he's been up to with Aral-Aral. π
MEET & GREET: Gerard Catangui, Eskwelabs Marketing Associate π
Gerard: "Since the start of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in Metro Manila, our Aral-Aral community group has seen a surge of membership. From 250 members to 800+ membersβpeople who wanted to learn the basics and foundations of Data Science. With the current skills gap in the country, we are trying to make sure that in the future of work, nobody gets left behind."
